This was the topic of the public debates organized on October 13th by the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) ”Viitorul” in partnership with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Moldova. The participants of the debate discussed the necessity to adjust the remuneration system for university didactic and auxiliary staff in Moldova, as well as developed and conveyed several recommendations in this regard.
The key recommendations for improving the remuneration for the professionals from the university system are a clearer redefinition of priorities followed by an adequate funding for salary costs. Taking into account the financial difficulties from the educational system in general, the funding for remuneration of professors and staff adequate to economic conditions must be a top priority for the relevant public authorities in the country.
